5 Days Tour

Day 1

Sightseeing tour of Tbilisi, you will visit Abanotubani (the area of sulfur baths), the Narikala fortress, the old streets of Tbilisi, where synagogues and churches are located, you will see all the flavor of this city. See the Rezo Gabriadze Theater, Freedom Square, Rustaveli Avenue - the main avenue of the city of Tbilisi, David Agmashenebeli Avenue. After that, we will visit the old capital of Georgia - Mtskheta (25 km from Tbilisi), we will be able to see the Jvari cross monastery, with an incredible view of Mtskheta and the confluence of the two rivers Kura and Aragvi. The tour continues in the center of Mtskheta, where you can walk, buy souvenirs and, if you wish, visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.

Day 2

 We go to one of the most beautiful regions of Georgia (eastern Georgia). On the way we stop at a bakery, where you can see how Kakhetian bread is baked. The next stop is Bodbe. It is the active nunnery where Saint Nino, the enlightener of Georgia, rests. The monastery is located in a picturesque place with views of the Alazani Valley. Then we go to Sighnaghi - "City of Love", where you can walk along the old streets. We visit the Galavani fortress which surrounds the old city. After that, we go to Kvareli where we visit the Khareba winery, with the largest wine cellar in Georgia, where you can choose a wine tasting package according to your wish. After that, we will check into the Telavi hotel and in the evening you will have a free tasting in the wine cellar and dinner.

Day 3

After breakfast we go to Kazbegi by the Gombori pass. The first stop will be the Zhinvali water reservoir with beautiful views of the mountain ranges. The 16th century fortress Ananuri is located near Zhinvali. This is an architectural complex consisting of a fortress and a temple. After that, we go to Gudauri (ski resort), we will stop at the Friendship Arch, from where you will see incredible views of the gorge and old settlements open. Through the Cross pass we go to Stepantsminda (Kazbegi). There we change transport and go up to the Gergeti Trinity Monastery, located at an altitude of 2200 m overlooking Mount Kazbegi (5053) and the village of Stepantsminda. Overnight in Kazbegi.

Day 4

After breakfast we go to Gori city which is located on the silk road, and where you can visit museum of Stalin (by wish). After Gori we visit the most ancient cave complex in Georgia – Uplistsikhe. After finishing we go to Borjomi and check in hotel. Have a free evening.

Day 5

After Breakfast in Borjomi we go to the biggest cave city in Georgia Vardzia (XII century) where Queen Tamar had one of the residences. There you can see caves, a church with unique frescoes of the XII-XIII centuries, wine cellars, secret tunnels. Then the excursion continues to Akhaltsikhe, you will visit the Rabat fortress, which was recently restored and is the pearl of Akhaltsikhe city.

After that we can visit Green monastery by wish and return to Tbilisi.
